There are some pressure points on the head that are quite vulnerable to outside force (e.g. the two upper sides of the head etc.). I think Griffin should recover soon, though he has to go thru the concussion protocols. Another excuse for Doc Rivers to hold onto his job, I guess.
If the GSW wants to have a better chance of defending their title, they need to improve on two areas, IMO: those careless passes/turnovers (Curry is the main culprit) and Zaza Pachulia. Why did the GSW, more often than not, passed their opponents in points during the 3rd quarter? I think it's because they had often settled down and produced fewer careless turnovers in the 3rd. They need to improve on that playful casual attitude right from the beginning. That playful attitude (e.g. Curry) is fine for shooting, but not fine for passing the ball. As for Zaza, he is good at passing the ball, but he is not good enough around the hoop (both offense/defense). He is too slow on everything. If he catches the ball near the hoop, there is not big chance that he will score, unless he is not guarded by anybody (or he is fouled and get free throws). He often liked to switch on defense and changed to guard smaller player, and in those cases, he rarely defended well at all. West is the best of their front court right now (besides Green). Though shorter than Zaza, West can defend/rebound/shoot better than Zaza. Even looney is better in most aspects, IMO. When the playoff comes, everything will tighten up and Zaza will become less useful (except as a secret weapon, of course ^^), IMO. The GSW should pay more attention to McGee, whose plays have deteriorated this season, probably due to less play times together with his teammates. ...
